Steve Barbee – Senior Pastor
Steve's journey to the pulpit of Old Oak Bible Church began close to home. In fact, Steve came to trust in Christ at a young age through the witness of his parents and the ministry of Old Oak Bible Church. While strong in his faith when he went to college, going into church ministry was not on his radar. In the midst of his pursuit to become the next big sports agent, Steve felt called to become a pastor. Since then, he's received a B.A. in History from Malone University and an MDiv from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is humbled to serve as a pastor of the church where he grew up, especially on the heels of the faithful ministry of the late Pastor Dave Butler. Steve lives in Middleburg and enjoys exercising, drinking coffee, being a mediocre guitar player (his words), and being a cautiously optimistic Cleveland sports fan.
Alongside his wife, Donna, Bill has faithfully served at Old Oak for nearly 30 years. He joyously leads music on Sunday mornings, teaches Bible study, officiates weddings, and preaches on occasion. If you're wondering why he has the same last name as Steve, it's because he is his dad!
Don and his wife, Betty, have been at Old Oak since 2000, and Don has served as an elder since 2009. Don is a tireless and skilled handyman who has a heart for serving God's people. He enjoys teaching Bible study and caring for those in our church.
Dean joined the church in 2005 and became an elder at the same time as Don. He works full-time as an engineer and completed graduate school at Case Western Reserve University. His teaching specialties include Christian apologetics and illustrating how matters of science, engineering, history, and philosophy are relevant to Christian teachings.
